Pisa tower

Or simply the Tower of Pisa (Torre di Pisa) is the campanile, or freestanding bell tower, of the cathedral city of Pisa, Italy, known worldwide for unintended tilt to one side. Leaning Tower of Pisa behind the cathedral is located, and a third is the oldest structure in the courtyard of Pisa Cathedral (Piazza del Duomo) after the Cathedral and Baptistery, began the tent of the tower during construction, resulting from inadequate mainly on very soft ground on one side to support the weight properly structure to increase the tendency in decades before the completion of the structure, and gradually increases until stabilized structure (tilt partially correct) through efforts in the late 20's and early 21 century. Height of the tower is 55.86 meters (183.27 feet) from the ground on the low side and 56.70 meters (186.02 feet) on the high side, the walls at the base is 4.09 meters (13.42 feet) and at the top 2.48 meters (8.14 feet). Estimated weight of about 14,500 metric tons (16,000 short tons), the tower contains 296 or 294 floors; now leaning tower of about 3.99 degrees, and this means that the upper part of the tower is displaced horizontally 3.9 meters (12 ft 10 in) of where it would be if the structure were perfectly vertical.
